Brass is in style - tarnish isnt! Brass naturally tarnishes due to its metal components - copper and zinc - being exposed to oxygen.

To clean your tag gently wash with mild soap and warm water and use a soft, damp cloth to wipe

To get rid of any tarnish, rub tag with any tomato based product (ketchup/tomato sauce/tomato paste). Trust me! Tomatoes contain an acid that helps to remove tarnish and it works in seconds

OR if your're not feeling getting your hands mucky, boil tag in vinegar, buffer with steel wool and finish off with the polishing cloth included in your bag

If the wording has faded over time, simply fill in with a black sharpie and wipe away with a clean cloth
